Backyard Garden Patio Tour

Thank you, neighbors, for taking the time to complete the recent Social Committee survey.  The events we plan in the upcoming months will certainly reflect your valued input.

The top vote-getter was the Backyard Garden Patio Tour!  This event will be held on Sunday, August 19 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm.   Several of you responded during the survey that you would be willing to participate and some of you wanted more information before committing.

During the Backyard Patio Tour, willing homeowners open their patio gate and showcase their backyards to other Deerfield Knoll homeowners, who travel around the neighborhood visiting the open gardens.  This is a wonderful opportunity to introduce yourself to neighbors you might not yet know and to get ideas for your own backyard.  Hosts will be outside to answer all of your questions and may provide water or other beverage, but that is completely optional.    Please conclude your tour at Diane Colburn’s house (207 Cohasset) where wine and a small snack will be served and people will be encouraged to stay and mingle.

Since the survey was anonymous, even if you said you were interested in being a host for the Tour, we don’t yet know who you are.

We will compile a list of open gardens for the community.
